The authors present the results of the operation of combined openers in comparison with serial tine openers of the SKP-2.1 seeder. Determined that combined coulters for multi-level sowing of seeds and application of fertilizers distribute the seeds evenly along the sowing depth. Under equal conditions, combined coulters in relation to serial ones made it possible to reduce the traction resistance of the seeder SKP-2.1 by 32% at a sowing depth of 4 cm and by 17% at a sowing depth of 6 cm.
