The article examines the effectiveness of the TachoComb hemostatic sponge for enterotomy. It was found that in this study, the use of the method of additional strengthening of the suture with an adhesive substance of the intestinal wall is pathogenetically justified. The application of FCS biopolymer to the intestinal suture line prevents the penetration of microflora from the intestinal lumen, which significantly affects tissue healing. It is possible to assume that these mechanisms sufficiently contribute to increasing the reliability of the intestinal suture.
