IDENTIFICATION OF GENETIC ASSOCIATIONS BY INDICATORS FEEDING BEHAVIOR AND ECONOMICALLY USEFUL CHARACTERISTICS ON EXAMPLE OF THE PIG INDUSTRY
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
GWAS (Genome-Wide Association Study) is a method used in genetics quantitative traits to obtain genetic variations (single nucleotide polymorphisms or SNPs) that are associated with a specific disease or trait. The purpose of this method is to identify genetic loci that characterize a certain disease or economically useful trait. Development and improvement BLUP models based on information received from high-density chips and conducting a genome-wide analysis will expand our understanding of biological mechanisms, with better information, and develop new approaches selective selection of competitive animals into the breeding core of the population.
