Abstract (English):
Rust diseases still remain the most harmful diseases of wheat. Creation of varieties resistant to these diseases is the main strategy in combating them. The purpose of our research was to study resistance of promising lines of spring soft wheat selected by the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture to rust fungi, in the conditions of the Middle Volga region. As a result of the study, we identified lines with field resistance to brown leaf and stem rust in conditions in 2022. Competitive variety testing lines K-241/13-3 and K-96/14-6 having field resistance to rust fungi have an advantage over the standard for yield and grain quality. Grain quality of these lines in 2022 conditions meets the requirements for strong wheat.
