By intraspecific hybridization of the sources we have identified economically valuable traits, a new source material for winter hexaploid triticale for breeding in the Volga region. Features of inheritance are considered plant height and grain weight per ear in first generation hybrids from crossing varieties from different ecological and geographical zones. Highlighted valuable combinations to explore in F2 and subsequent generations.
